The Ould Lammas Fair, held each year in Ballycastle on the last Monday and Tuesday of August, is one of Ireland's oldest fairs!
The exact origin of the fair is uncertain. One theory is that it began as a result of the occupation of the area around Ballycastle by the MacDonnells of the Isles in the early part of the sixteenth century....
